Depending on how confident and fit a cyclist you are, there are a range of destinations that can be accessed by bike from Oughtibridge Valley.
Many of the local amenities in Oughtibridge are easily accessed by bike, which is less than 10 minutes from your new home. When considering traffic and the time it can take to park, that may be quicker than a journey by car! In Oughtibridge you’ll find a primary school, pubs, restaurants and cafes, a Co-op and other retailers, and a post office. In the opposite direction is Wharncliffe Side, where there are a number of pubs and restaurants, as well as another primary school.
The Middlewood tram stop, a designated Park & Ride site, can be reached in less than 15 minutes from the Oughtibridge Valley development and is all downhill on the way there! You’ll find a large amount of cycle storage available at the stop, which has regular Supertram services into Sheffield centre.
Oughtibridge Valley is located around ten minutes by bike from Route 627 of the National Cycle Network, offering a scenic off-road route for a leisurely cycle. This route follows the Trans Pennine Trail in the local area, which is signed all the way and mainly traffic free.
